How do I get tickets?

You can reserve your tickets at our online box office; by phone: (602) 258-8129; or by visiting our box office in person at 1333 E. Washington St. in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. For information on prices, performance times, ticketing policies, and special events, visit our Box Office page.

What time are the performances?

Unless otherwise stated, evening performances begin promptly at 8:00pm, and Sunday matinees begin at 3:00pm. Second-week Thursday and Saturday matinees begin at 2:00 pm.

Where is the theatre located?

The Black Theatre Troupe’s home is the Helen K. Mason Performing Arts Center and is located at 1333 East Washington Street in Downtown Phoenix, Arizona. View on Map.

How do people dress when they attend a BTT performance?

At BTT, “the play’s the thing,” not what you wear. You will see everything from jeans and t-shirts to dresses and suits at a BTT performance. Please wear whatever makes you the most comfortable.

Where do I park?

The parking areas on the Plaza immediately in front of the buildings Washington Street entrance are strictly designated for handicap vehicles with insignias. There is additional parking on Washington Street in lots on the Southeast and Southwest corners of 13th Street and Washington.

Can you recommend a place to eat downtown?

There are many wonderful restaurants west of the theater in downtown Phoenix. For “soul food” visit Mrs. White’s Golden Rule Café on Washington just north of the US Airways Arena. Many theater goers park at the theater than take the 10 minute Light Rail ride to the heart of Downtown and their choice of many restaurants. Restaurants downtown can get crowded early, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time for parking and dining.

How do I contact a person?

Call the box office at (602) 258-8128 or our Administrative Office. If there is no answer, leave us a voice mail. All messages will be returned in one business day.

Why can’t I purchase tickets online?

Tickets are not on sale yet, the show may have sold out, or online sales have been suspended because it is too close to show time.

Can I get a refund if I’m not able to make it to the performance

No, all sales are final. However, purchased tickets may be exchanged at least 24 hours before its original performance date, for one of equal or lesser value to another performance of the same show based on availability.
